PASADENA, Texas — The San Jacinto College Central Campus theatre and film department plans to delight audiences with their 23rd annual holiday production “Santa’s Christmas Magic: The Musical”.

The production is a holiday tradition for many families, both for the viewing audiences, and for community families in the production itself.  For years, community members young and old have been returning to appear in the fast-paced holiday favorite.

“It’s a high-energy musical that includes acting, singing, a lot of dancing, and there are even chase scenes,” said Dr. Jerry Ivins, Central Campus theatre and film department chair. “This will be our 23rd year to present a Christmas show, which has developed into a holiday tradition for the community. Nearly every performance has sold out since we introduced the production.”

The show opens Thursday, Dec. 6 and will run until Sunday, Dec. 16. Tickets are $8 before Wednesday, Dec. 5 and $10 after that.

“Santa’s Christmas Magic: The Musical” is a fantasy about a sinister plot to steal Santa’s magic. Highlights of the show include toys that come alive and dance and sing, and singing children elves. Children in the audience can visit Santa Claus at intermission.
