Men's soccer headed back to national tournament

HOUSTON – The San Jacinto College men’s soccer team defeated Hinds Community College, 3-1, on Friday, earning the school’s fourth trip to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) national tournament.
San Jacinto College (16-4-1) was led by sophomore forward Ricardo Ramos and freshman forward Diego Vasquez in the win. Ramos had two goals and Vasquez score one. For the season, Ramos now has 13 goals.
The return trip to the NJCAA national tournament is the fourth for the San Jacinto College men’s soccer program, and second for head coach Ian Spooner. The NJCAA men’s soccer division I national tournament will be held in Tyler, Texas, Nov. 16-21. For more information on San Jacinto College athletics, visit sanjacsports.com.
