Next match Friday, Sept. 16 in Baytown versus Victoria College

PASADENA, Texas – The San Jac volleyball team is currently ranked 14th among the Top 20 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) D1 volleyball teams.

The team holds a record of 9-3 overall and 2-0 in conference standings. This week’s NJCAA volleyball rankings were released by each division’s respective poll committee. Rankings are based off team performance through Sunday, Sept. 11, and do not reflect results of matches played since that date.

“To be recognized by multiple regions across the U.S. as a team strong enough to represent the top 15 of the NJCAA is a prestigious honor,” said San Jac volleyball Head Coach Sharon Nelson. “NJCAA Division 1 Volleyball is composed of many strong, talented teams and highly experienced coaches. Our 2016 San Jac team is relatively young, nine freshmen and six sophomores, but is a highly motivated and energized team. As we progress through the season we become more and more fine-tuned and get better each time we play. Thank you to the NJCAA for this national recognition for our team and our college.”

See more information on the rankings on the NJCAA website. The next poll will be released Tuesday, Sept. 20. Follow @NJCAA on Twitter to view the rankings as soon as they are released.
