Registration open for noncredit photography courses

PASADENA, Texas – The San Jacinto College Continuing and Professional Development division will offer Introductory to Professional Photography this semester for those who are interested in acquiring a photography technician certificate.

This class is designed for anyone interested in learning basic photography functions to seek an entry-level career as a photographer. It will cover camera functions, types of lenses, choosing film and filters, flash photography, and the basics of a digital camera or 35 mm camera.

Upon completion, participants may proceed to the more advanced courses of Intermediate Professional Photography, Portrait Photography, Photoshop I, and Photoshop II.

The Introductory to Professional Photography class schedule is as follows:

Oct. 29 – Nov. 17, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Nov. 30 – Dec. 16, Mondays and Wednesdays, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
