The college students, each donning the famous Dr. Seuss hat, read favorites from the author’s collection and brought games to play with each class.
San Jacinto College students participate in service learning opportunities across a variety of disciplines throughout each semester. Most recently, they participated in such projects as helping homeless veterans, the clean up of Greens Bayou, hospice volunteering, Armand Bayou Nature Center prairie planting, science fairs at elementary schools, and helping residents of nursing homes and local shelters.
Service learning serves as a method of learning to strengthen classroom curriculum through application.
