Howard named to all-region and all-conference teams

Booren -- March 18, 2014   HOUSTON – San Jacinto College women's basketball freshman Kendra Howard (Dallas / Cedar Hill HS) has been named to the Region XIV all-region and all-conference teams. The 5-8 guard led the team in scoring at 18.8 points per game, a mark that ranked 16th in the country. She shot 37.1 percent from the field, and 33.1 percent from beyond the arc. She was second on the team in assists per game at 4.0. “Kendra stepped up when we needed her most and started playing beyond even her own expectations,” said first-year Head Coach Brenita Williams. “She works hard daily, and really buys into our program. It is nice to see Kendra recognized, because she deserves it.” In addition to her success on the court, Howard maintained a 3.1 GPA. San Jacinto College finished the 2013-2014 season with a 3-27 overall record, 1-17 in conference play.
