Grainger Foundation supports San Jacinto College

The Grainger Foundation, an independent, private foundation located in Lake Forest, Illinois, has donated $10,000 to the San Jacinto College Foundation in support of its mission to provide a skilled workforce through training and education.
“This grant will be used to help qualifying students achieve their educational and career goals by providing much needed scholarships,” commented Ruth Keenan, San Jacinto College Foundation Executive Director. “We are grateful to the Grainger Foundation for its generosity, which helps make it possible for San Jacinto College to fulfill its mission of providing high-quality workforce training.”
Keenan noted that partnerships between industry and education lead to better jobs and a stronger community.
The donation was recommended by Mark Gour, Market Manager of W.W. Grainger, Inc.’s, Deer Park location. Grainger has been a part of the Deer Park community for more than 50 years as the leading broad line supplier of maintenance, repair, and operating products. “We are proud to recommend the programs offered by the San Jacinto College Foundation,” said Gour. “We understand the need for a skilled and well-trained workforce.”
