Free session available to companies for Skills Development Fund program

Companies interested in assistance from the Skills Development Fund program are invited to attend a free information session hosted by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) and the San Jacinto College Continuing and Professional Development division.
This session will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Dec. 4 at the College's Central Campus in the Interactive Learning Center, room 102. Participants will receive information on how the TWC can assist businesses by financing the design and implementation of customized job training projects. They also will learn how to merge business needs with training opportunities and turn this into a winning formula to increase the skills levels and wages of new and incumbent employees.
The Skills Development Fund is Texas' premier job-training program providing local customized training opportunities for Texas businesses and workers to increase skill levels and wages of the Texas workforce. It is funded by the Texas Workforce Commission.

About the Continuing and Professional Development division
This noncredit division of the College provides training for both current and future employees in the professional and technical job sectors, as well as provides participants with open enrollment course options to enhance their lives.
