College to host 3 basketball activities

San Jacinto College will host three basketball activities in the next three months at the Nichols gym, located on the North Campus at 5800 Uvlade Road in Houston.

Unsigned Senior Day is open to female basketball players who have not committed to any college and who want to play college basketball this fall. Players will get a chance to play in at least two games and be evaluated by several college coaches. The event will be held Saturday, May 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost for participation is $25 per player.

FUNdamental Basketball Camp is open to boys and girls ages 5 to 12. During the weeklong event, campers will learn the basic fundamentals of basketball. The camp will be held from June 9 through June 13 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The cost is $80 per camper, and includes lunch, camp T-shirt, and motivational speeches.

Elite Basketball Camp is open to boys and girls ages 13 to 18. The weeklong camp is geared for more advanced basketball players who want to elevate their game. Players will learn how to market themselves to college scouts. The camp will be held from July 14 to 18 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The cost of $120 per player includes lunch, camp T-shirt, notebook, and motivational speeches. There are limited spaces available, so campers should register early.
